Professional Diploma in UX Design: Comprehensive, current and AI-focused

The industry-standard diploma in UX design: learn the full process, from research to prototyping, with content updated to reflect the expanding role of AI.

See how four UX Design Institute graduates use UX research, product design, content design and responsible AI to solve real problems in their day-to-day work.

Earning a certificate is only the beginning.

True professional growth happens when new skills fundamentally transform how you work, and the tangible value you bring to your organisation, business or freelance work.

As the year draws to a close, we are celebrating four recent UX Design Institute graduates who moved beyond theory, using their newly acquired skills to foster collaboration, shape strategic direction, and build better products.

Stefan brought evidence-based rigor to the AI conversation

Stefan Rodriguez

As a Human Factors Consultant at AtkinsRéalis, Stefan operates in a field where decisions must be grounded in hard evidence.

He wanted to bring that same rigorous standard to AI integration, protecting his organisation from blind industry hype.

By completing both the Product Design (UX/UI) Programme and the Certificate in AI Fundamentals for UX, Stefan gained the tools to lead these high-stakes discussions responsibly.

For his company, this means smarter, safer AI adoption, a non-negotiable necessity in today’s landscape

The course was a great deep dive into how we can integrate AI into our work responsibly, moving beyond hype to practical evidence-based applications.

Sonja scaled her impact across 200 products

Sonja Toms

Sonja spent much of her career developing e-learning content, carefully mapping out what learners needed to know.

To expand her influence into a product role, she completed the Professional Diploma in UX Design alongside the Certificate in AI Fundamentals for UX

These qualifications sharpened her user research skills, empowering her to optimise user flows based on direct feedback rather than guesswork.

Now a Content Experience Designer, Sonja is elevating the quality of over 200 e-learning products.

By developing scalable systems to assess content, she actively eliminates bottlenecks and streamlines workflows between the instructional and visual design teams.

I am the bridge to the UI/Visual Design department, which is extremely exciting!

Elena accelerated development by connecting engineering and design

Elena, Software Developer at HubSpot

As a Senior Software Developer at HubSpot, Elena wanted to actively shape product strategy long before it reached the engineering phase.

She took the Product Design (UX/UI) Programme to learn how designers think and make her code more user-focused.

This transformed her daily workflow: she now evaluates proposed features critically and advocates for the end user before a single line of code is written.

For HubSpot, this proactive approach translates to tighter team alignment, less rework, and more intuitive software. Ultimately, the programme gave her a powerful shared vocabulary: “I can now bridge the gap between design and engineering.”

Asra delivered immediate ROI on active global projects

Arsa, Content Lead at DHL

For Asra, Content Design Lead at DHL Express, the Professional Certificate in Content Design delivered immediate returns for her team.

The course provided a robust framework for content decisions, empowering her to maximise accessibility and utility on a global scale.

With helpful feedback from her mentors, Asra used her new skills on current projects and saw immediate improvements.

For DHL, this means faster, more confident decision-making that directly enhances the customer experience.

It gave me a clear, practical framework for creating purposeful, accessible, and user-centred content, which proved particularly valuable while I was working on a new project!

What comes after the course

Sometimes the first sign of professional growth is a brand-new title.

Other times, it manifests in critical shifts that ripple across a company: a sharper question in a meeting that sparks a much-needed project, recommending a more strategic feature, or creating a scalable method for assessing content.

As we celebrate our graduates’ achievements, we recognise that these everyday moments are where true business value is created.

They are the exact points where new skills transform from theory into powerful, daily practice!
