She is currently Head of Research at the UX Design Institute where she is responsible for delivering insights to guide the company's strategy and direction. With a background in psychology, Rachael is fascinated by how users process information and make decisions when using digital interfaces. She is a mixed-methods researcher with a wealth of experience in both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Sara Hefny is a senior product researcher at Hotjar, a product experience insights tool. Trained as an anthropologist and qualitative researcher, Sara is passionate about collaborating with specialists in quantitative methodologies to produce rich, holistic insights that answer fundamental questions about human attitudes and behaviour. After nearly a decade in academic research, she transitioned to industry in an effort to better understand and center human needs in product and service design.
