Tell us a bit about your career before you studied UX with us?
“I have 20 years of experience as a Graphic/Web Designer and have worked for big companies like hp and Vodafone.”
Why did you want to learn more about UX?
“I wanted to move my career forward into UX because it's more interesting than just design, has better job opportunities for both now and the future, and UX has no coding involved. It's more about humans understanding user needs, user interaction, behaviours, collaboration, pure design.”
Why did you choose to study UX with us?
“After some research on the Internet I came across the UXDI and it looked like the best place to take UX courses (whether it was for foundational knowledge or more advanced techniques) and the website showed me all the information that I needed to know - outcomes, testimonies, etc…”
Since completing the course, how has your career progressed?
“I had the chance to put the skills I learned from Colman Walsh into practice in the form of course projects that were portfolio-ready once completed. The portfolio I built during the course was key in securing a recent UX Engineer position at IBM.”
Would you recommend the course to others? Why?
“I would recommend the UXDI because of the teaching and mentoring skills, as well as UX expertise that Colman brings to the course, he is a true UX guru. The outcome is that you'll be ready to work as an actual UX designer.”
In one word, how would you describe your experience on the course?
